Before your pup joins the group, every new Camper goes through a Camper Interview that matches them to the right play group based on temperament, energy level, and play style, so day one can feel comfortable and day two can feel like a homecoming. We serve pet parents across San Antonio, including Alamo Ranch, Heritage, Pipers Meadow, Tanglewoodridge, and surrounding Bandera and Medina counties.

Our Certified Camp Counselors® are trained in dog behavior, pet CPR, and first aid and are present throughout every play session. Live Camper Cams℠ let you check in from your computer or phone anytime during the day so you can see exactly what your pup is up to. When the day wraps, you can bring home a happy, well-exercised dog who’s ready for some rest. For dogs who benefit from added activity, we also offer dog enrichment programs to complement their daycare experience.

Safety Standards Built Into Every Visit

Every dog in our play yards has earned their spot there. Our safety standards aren’t a checklist posted on a wall. They shape every step of how a dog enters Camp, how they’re grouped, and how they’re monitored throughout the day.

Before a new dog joins the group at Camp Bow Wow San Antonio Northwest, they complete a Camper Interview. This assessment looks at temperament, play style, and comfort level in an open-play setting so we can match each Camper to a group where they can thrive. Dogs are grouped by size, temperament, and energy level so roughhousing stays age- and size-appropriate and quieter dogs aren’t overwhelmed.

San Antonio pet parents can expect the following safety standards at every visit:

Certified Camp Counselors®: Every Counselor is extensively trained in dog behavior, pet CPR, and first aid and is present throughout play to redirect behaviors like excessive barking or rough play before they escalate.
Snout-to-Tail Assessments: Every dog receives a health check during check-in to help identify any concerns early, before they enter the play group.
Vaccination and health requirements: All Campers must be spayed or neutered and current on Rabies, DHPP, and Bordetella vaccinations. Learn more about our Bordetella policy.
Scheduled rest breaks: Regular rest periods are built into the day to prevent overstimulation and keep energy balanced across the group.
Live Camper Cams℠: Accessible from any computer or mobile device so you can check in on your pup whenever you’d like.
