Dog Grooming in Ferry Pass
Bathing, Nail Trimming & More for Ferry Pass Pet Parents
At Camp Bow Wow, dog grooming is part of a full camp experience. Ferry Pass pet parents can drop off their pup for a day of play and pick up a clean, happy dog in one trip. No separate grooming errand, no extra stop on the way home.
Our grooming areas are designed for your dog’s comfort, and sessions can be added to a daycare or boarding visit. Call (877) 700-2275 or book online to schedule a grooming session today.
A Better Environment for Grooming Day
At most grooming-only shops, dogs wait in crates before and after their session. At Camp, dogs spend that time in our open-play environment instead. They’re running, socializing, and burning energy rather than sitting in a confined space. That difference matters, especially for dogs that get anxious around grooming.
Every dog in our facility has also passed a health and vaccination screen. Before entering Camp, all dogs must be current on Rabies, Distemper, Bivalent Flu, and Bordetella vaccinations. Grooming-only visitors aren’t required to complete our full Camper Interview process, but vaccination records are required before the first visit.
27 Years of Professional Grooming Experience on Our Team
One member of our grooming team brings 27 years of professional experience to every session, including 21 years as a Master Stylist. Our friendly team is skilled in handling all breeds and coat types, approaching each dog based on its size, temperament, and coat condition.
Groomers also look for things pet parents can’t always catch at home: early signs of skin infections, unusual lumps, or parasite activity. In Northwest Florida’s warm, humid climate, those checks matter. Hotspots, seasonal itching, and pest exposure are real concerns for dogs in Escambia County, and our team knows the coat and skin patterns common to dogs in this region.

One Stop for Daycare, Boarding & Dog Grooming Near Ferry Pass
Combining grooming with a boarding stay means your dog spends the day playing, gets cleaned up, and is ready for pickup when you are. Less shedding in the car, less odor at home, no separate trip to fit into your week. Pet parents can request grooming times that line up with work hours, school schedules, or weekend plans when booking through Camp Bow Wow.
Our all-inclusive pricing means you know the cost before the visit. No hidden fees, no surprises at checkout. For questions about grooming pricing specific to your dog’s size and coat, give us a call or book online.
Coat Care in Northwest Florida’s Climate
Escambia County’s heat and humidity put extra demands on a dog’s coat and skin. Dogs that spend time outdoors here may need more consistent grooming than pets in cooler, drier regions. Hotspots, itching, and increased flea and tick exposure are real seasonal concerns, and catching them early through routine grooming visits can help pet parents stay ahead before issues become more serious.
Our groomers understand the regional patterns that affect dogs in this area. That local familiarity means they know what to look for when checking your dog’s coat and skin, and they can flag anything worth a follow-up with your veterinarian.
National Brand, Local Team
Camp Bow Wow is part of a national network of more than 200 Camp Bow Wow locations across North America, and our Pensacola camp has been open since 2018 with an A+ rating from the BBB of Northwest Florida. During daycare or boarding stays, live Camper Cams let you check in on your dog through the Camp Bow Wow app anytime. What you see in the app reflects how we operate every day: an open, monitored environment where dogs are active, social, and genuinely cared for.
Dog Grooming FAQs
Have questions? Camp Bow Wow is here to help!
-
An exit bath is a bath scheduled at the end of your dog’s boarding or daycare stay so they go home clean and fresh after all their Camp adventures. We time it close to pick-up so your pup is dry, brushed, and ready for snuggles when you arrive. Just ask to add an exit bath when you book your Camper’s stay.

Most dogs benefit from a nail trim every 3–6 weeks, but it depends on how fast their nails grow and how much they naturally wear them down. If you can hear your pup’s nails clicking on the floor, it’s usually time for a trim. Our groomers can recommend a schedule that keeps your Camper’s paws healthy and comfortable.

Both nail grinding and clipping can be safe and effective when done properly. Clipping quickly shortens the nail, while grinding can smooth and round the edges, which some pups and pet parents prefer. Our team can talk through the options and help you choose what’s best for your dog’s comfort and nail health.

A typical dog bath service includes a gentle shampoo, a thorough rinse, towel and/or blow dry, and a brush-out suited to your pup’s coat. Some Camps may also offer add-ons like nail trims, ear cleaning, or de-shedding treatments. We’ll always let you know exactly what’s included so your pup gets the most out of their bath time.

Many pet parents love adding a bath at the end of a boarding stay or a big day of play so their pup comes home clean, soft, and cuddle-ready. After all that fun in the play yards, a fresh bath can be a nice finishing touch. Let us know at booking if you’d like to schedule a bath so we can plan your Camper’s “spa time” before pick-up.
