Our Cypress Team

Camp Bow Wow® Cypress is a family run business. It is owned by José & Joan Morillo and both are dog lovers. Their main goal when pups are left in their care is “providing peace-of-mind for those times you can’t be with your pup.” - José. 

Their daughter-in-law, Jazmine Morillo, is the Director of Operations & Marketing. She has been working with her in-laws since 2015 when they opened their first location in Katy, TX and their second in 2018 in Kemah, TX. Her 3 daughters are also very involved in Camp. They love working with local shelters & resource centers encouraging donations and meeting foster pups at Camp!

    Coming from a healthcare background where he served as the Chief Executive Officer of two hospitals in Florida, José has been fulfilling his lifelong dream of owning and operating his own business. As an added bonus, his passion for business is paired with something he truly loves: dogs!

    José’s dedication to excellence and leadership has been recognized throughout the franchise community, earning him the prestigious honor of **Franchisee of the Year by the International Franchise Association**. He is also a published author of *FIDO: Forget It, Drive On*, a compelling memoir about navigating life’s inevitable obstacles with resilience, perseverance, and the determination to keep moving forward.

    José has the ultimate “seal of approval” from his two furry companions: **Trini, a short-haired chihuahua, and Rico, a chihuahua mix**. He is married to his childhood sweetheart, Joan, a Pharmacist and former Major in the U.S. Air Force. Together, José and Joan have one son and three granddaughters, and they enjoy spending time with friends and family.

    Jazmine brings over 10 years of experience with the Camp Bow Wow franchise, backed by a strong background in retail sales and customer service. She has consistently excelled in team-driven environments and was honored as Manager of the Year in 2019 across the entire franchise. When she’s not caring for her husband and three beautiful daughters, Jazmine enjoys spending time with her beloved pups—Roofus (Dachshund), Dutch (Dutch Shepherd), and Jackson (French Bulldog).

    Kevin is a committed dog care professional at Camp Bow Wow, where he built his foundation as a Camp Counselor. His hands-on time on the floor gave him a strong read on dog behavior, pack dynamics, and what pet parents need to feel confident leaving their dog in someone else’s care. Kevin’s genuine love for animals fuels his focus on creating a safe, energetic, and welcoming environment for every dog that comes through the door. His mission is straightforward: happy dogs, happy people, every single day.
