Our Crestwood Team

  • Dan Hermann Owner

Background: After spending twenty years in the IT industry and one year in a global pandemic, I decided that I would rather spend my days surrounded by dogs, thank you very much. Bringing leadership, operations, customer service, and a little tech savvy, I am a first-time entrepreneur and am looking forward to the challenge and the opportunity to manage a team, serve the community, and help pet parents overcome the anxiety that comes when they are away from their pets.

Family Life: I love spending time with my family: three humans, two dogs, and two cats. I learned to cook (and even bake a little) during COVID and love to try new recipes from all over the world. The list of movies, shows, music, books, and games that I need to consume is shamefully long, but I’m always interested in something new. My life goal is to visit six of the seven continents with my children before they turn eighteen (we’re at four!).

Fun Fact: I went to law school, graduated, and passed the Bar Exam in two states, but never practiced law. If you are interested in a legal career, you should definitely not ask me if I recommend a legal career.

What I Love About CBW: Camp Bow Wow sold me on the very first page of their franchise owner materials: “Nobody wants to leave their dog in a crate when they’re at work, and nobody wants to leave their dog in a cage when they’re on vacation.” This is my language and I am so excited to serve customers with whom this resonates.

  • Brittany Huxen General Manager
Strategic Thinker • Pet Industry Pro • Team Culture Enthusiast
I’m a leadership-focused problem solver with a deep love for animals and a serious passion for helping businesses grow—from the inside out. I am mom to an almost 9-year-old two-legged human and three dogs: Tora, a Dutch Shepherd; Timbre, a Border Collie; and Virgil, a Chihuahua.
For over 15 years, I’ve worked across the pet care industry in just about every role you can imagine—launching new locations, designing standout programs (like the Puppy Pre-School that went national!), and leading amazing teams through big wins and bold changes. My focus? Creating operations that work, building cultures where people actually want to stay, and delivering experiences that keep customers coming back.
Right now, I’m the General Manager at Camp Bow Wow Crestwood, where I’m all about driving performance, safeguarding retention, and making sure both pets and their humans feel the love. I also consult with small businesses through TJ Corporate Consultants, helping owners get smart about corporate credit and financial growth strategies. And for fun? I lend my voice to Guide point and Arbolus, sharing insights on what’s next in pet care and business leadership.
I’m currently pursuing my Executive MBA through Valar Institute, because I believe great leadership is equal parts instinct and intentional growth.
Whether I’m rolling out a new program, mentoring a team member, or fine-tuning a business strategy, I bring energy, clarity, and a people-first mindset to everything I do.
