Dog Boarding In Taylor
Safe, Comfortable Stays While You Are Away
Camp Bow Wow Hutto provides structured dog boarding designed to support comfort, safety, and routine while dogs are away from home. Boarding is more than overnight care. It includes supervised activity, scheduled feeding, rest periods, and a calm sleeping environment that helps dogs adjust to temporary stays.
Whether the stay is short or extended, maintaining a familiar routine helps reduce stress. Dogs benefit from consistent schedules for meals, potty breaks, and rest. A clean, organized setting and trained staff help ensure that each dog is monitored and cared for throughout the day and night.
Why Local Families Choose Us
Families looking for dog boarding in Taylor often want more than a basic kennel setup. A structured environment helps dogs feel more secure and comfortable during their stay. Predictable routines and supervised interaction are key parts of that experience.
The facility includes secure indoor areas and supervised play spaces where dogs can move freely without becoming overwhelmed. Daily schedules include designated times for activity, feeding, and rest. This consistency helps dogs settle in more easily and reduces anxiety.
Overnight care focuses on quiet and stability. Dogs rest in individual sleeping areas with comfortable bedding. Familiar items from home, such as blankets or toys, can help make the space feel more familiar. Staff members check on dogs regularly and monitor behavior to ensure comfort throughout the night.
What Your Dog's Stay Includes
A structured daily routine helps dogs stay active while also allowing time to rest. Each day is organized to balance play, feeding, and downtime. This approach helps prevent overstimulation and supports overall well-being.
A typical stay includes:
- Supervised group or individual play sessions based on temperament
- Scheduled potty breaks throughout the day and evening
- Feeding based on the dog's regular diet and instructions
- Access to fresh water at all times
- Individual sleeping areas with clean bedding
- Monitoring of behavior, appetite, and comfort
Dogs are placed in playgroups based on size, temperament, and energy level. Some dogs prefer active play, while others benefit from quieter interactions. Staff members adjust group placement as needed to maintain a positive environment.
Reduce your pup's boarding anxiety with a predictable rhythm of play, rest, and meals tailored to their unique needs. Contact Camp Bow Wow or call (512) 866-7180
Preparing For Overnight Boarding
Preparation helps make the boarding experience smoother for both dogs and their owners. Providing familiar items and clear instructions allows staff to maintain consistency during the stay.
To prepare for boarding:
- Bring your dog's regular food in labeled portions
- Provide written instructions for feeding and medication
- Pack medications in original containers
- Include a familiar blanket or toy
- Share details about routines, behavior, and sensitivities
Dogs should also be up to date on required vaccinations before arrival. Health requirements help protect all dogs in the facility and support a clean environment.
Supporting First-Time Boarders
Dogs that have not boarded before may need time to adjust. A short visit or daycare session before an overnight stay can help them become familiar with the environment. During the first stay, staff monitor behavior closely and make adjustments to help the dog feel more comfortable.
Dog Boarding Options And Rates
Different boarding needs require flexible options. Some stays are short, while others last several days or longer. Boarding plans are structured to accommodate different schedules and activity levels.
Options may include:
- Single-night stays for short trips
- Multi-night boarding for extended travel
- Adjusted activity levels based on age and energy
- Additional services such as medication support
Rates vary depending on the length of stay, the size of the dog, and any additional services provided. Clear pricing structures help families understand what is included in each stay.
Clean And Secure Boarding Environment
Cleanliness and safety are essential in a boarding facility. All areas, including sleeping spaces, play zones, and feeding stations, are cleaned regularly using pet-safe products. Maintaining sanitation helps reduce the spread of germs and supports overall health.
Security measures include enclosed play areas, monitored entry points, and controlled check-in and check-out procedures. These features help ensure that dogs remain safe throughout their stay.

Camp Bow Wow requires all boarding dogs to be up to date on their DHPP vaccine to keep them healthy and able to play safely with other dogs. It’s recommended that the Leptospirosis vaccine also be included annually, as it’s more common, can be deadly to dogs, and can spread to humans.
The DHPP vaccine protects against four serious and highly contagious diseases: Distemper, Hepatitis (Adenovirus), Parainfluenza, and Parvovirus. These illnesses can affect a dog’s respiratory, digestive, and nervous systems, and can spread quickly between dogs, making vaccination important.
Puppies start the DHPP series at 6–8 weeks old, with two boosters given at 3-week intervals, followed by a third booster a year later. Adult dogs receive booster shots as recommended by their veterinarian, with the Distemper and Parvovirus portion typically given every 1–3 years.
In addition to the DHPP vaccine, the Rabies and Bordetella vaccines are also required for all boarding dogs at all our locations. For more information on our vaccine requirements for dog boarding, contact your local Camp Bow Wow.
